Shahi Tukda

We all are very found of sweet dish, if one offers a sweet dish no one can say "No" to it 😉. Let's taste a different style of sweet. Shahi Tukda which is a Hyderbadi dish but it's been one of Delhi specialty too.

Ingredients
For Special Powder
- Almonds - 15
- Cashew - 5
- Green Cardamom seeds - 4 (whole)
- Black Cardamom seeds - 1 (whole)
- Black pepper - 3
- Fennel seeds - 1 Tbsp
For Rabdi
- Whole milk - 2 ltr
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Special powder - 3/4
- Kesar - 1 Tsp
For Sweet bread
- White Bread - 20 nos
- Ghee - for frying
Sugar Syrup
- Water - 1 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1 Cup
Directions
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients of special powder and grind it into a fine powder.
Heat a big sauce pan and pour all milk for rabdi. Once its starts boiling on high flame, then put it on medium flame and let it boil till it gets thickens. Stir in occasionally as the cream will start coming over it. Once the quantity comes to 1/2 of its initial then put the special powder, sugar & let it boil again. The consistency should be thick enough. Let it cool and then put it in refrigerator.

Heat medium size sauce pan and boil water then pour the sugar. Let the sugar dissolve. Cook & bring the syrup to a one string consistency.
Cut the bread into half as it forms a triangle, then shallow fry the bread in ghee till it becomes golden & crisp. Dip the fried bread in sugar syrup from both sides and keep it aside.
Step 4
Serve the Sweet bread with Rabdi over it. Garnish it with remaining special powder, sliced almonds & pistachio.
