Ingredients
For Marination-
Chicken- 800 gm
Curd- 4-5 Tbsp
Salt- 1 Tsp
Red Chilli - 1 Tsp
Ginger-Garlic paste- 2 Tbsp
For Gravy-
Roughly chopped Onion- 3 medium size
Roughly chopped Tomato- 2 medium size
Garam Masala- 1 Tsp
Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 1/2 Tbsp
Kasturi Methi- 1 Tbsp
Cashews- 20-25
Coriander leaves- 4-5 Tbsp
Butter- 4 Tbsp
Kashmiri red chilli- 1 Tsp
Red Chilli- 1 Tsp
Salt- As per taste
Fresh Cream/Malai- 4-5 Tbsp
Tomato ketchup- 1 Tbsp
Black Cardamom- 2
Green Cardamom- 4
Directions
Step 1
For Marination- In a big bowl, add chicken, curd, salt, red chilli powder & Ginger Garlic paste. Mix it all and keep it for marination for 1/2 - 1 hr.
Step 2
Heat the utensil and pour 4-5 Tbsp oil & 2 Tbsp butter. Add green & black cardamon, toss it. Add ginger-garlic paste saute a little then add onions, fry till it becomes translucent then add tomato, cashews, salt, both red chilli powder & half fresh coriandar leaves, Give this a good mix. Cover & cook it for 5 min on medium flame. Set it aside and cool it down and make a smooth paste.
Step 3
Heat the pan and pour 2-3 Tbsp oil and pour marinated chicken in it. Cover & cook it for 5 min on high flame. Keep it stirring in between. The chicken will release the water and starts getting cooking, once it becomes nice thick and dry take it off from the stove and keep it aside.
Step 4
Take the previous pan and pour the paste then add saute chicken & after 2-3 min add remaining 2 Tbsp butter then add garam masala, kasturi methi & half cup water. Mix this together and cook for 5 min on medium flame. Add tomato ketchup, cream/malai. Then cover & cook for 5 min on medium flame. Then add fresh coriander and mix it.
Serve hot and garnish with fresh cream/malai.
